The Pumas are growing and need more volunteers to help the club run smoothly. You don't have to have played rugby, but if you like the sport and wish to get involved in a great local club and meet lots of lovely people then look no further.

Volunteer Code of Conduct
At Locks Heath Pumas RFC, our volunteers are the heart of our club. This Code of Conduct sets out the standards and behaviours expected from all volunteers to ensure a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for players, supporters, and fellow volunteers.
By volunteering with us, you agree to the following:
Respect & Inclusion

Treat everyone with respect, kindness, and fairness—regardless of age, gender, background, ability, or experience.

Promote an inclusive environment where everyone feels safe, welcome, and part of the Pumas family.

Be confident that Locks Heath Pumas committee do not tolerate any form of bullying, harassment, or discrimination against the clubs volunteers.

Challenge or report any discriminatory, bullying, or abusive behaviour.
Teamwork & Communication

Work cooperatively with other volunteers, coaches, players, parents, and club officials.

Understand that it is always OK to challenge ideas and practices, but not to make those challenges personal, or adopt a blame culture

Communicate clearly, respectfully, and in a timely manner.

Raise concerns or suggestions constructively with the Volunteer Coordinator or relevant committee member.

If you have a complaint, please use the appropriate channels as set out in the Problem Solving Procedure.
Safeguarding & Player Welfare

Always put the safety and wellbeing of players first, which ever team they belong to. Locks Heath Pumas are one club.

Follow the club’s safeguarding policies and report any concerns promptly to the Safeguarding Officer.
Reliability & Commitment

Fulfill your role within the club to the best of your ability.
-
Arrive on time and be prepared for your volunteer role.
-
Let your volunteer colleagues know as early as possible if you can no longer attend or complete a task.

Be flexible, understanding that volunteering is a team effort and things sometimes change at short notice, and other things might take a while.
Learning & Development
-
Be open to feedback and opportunities to learn.

Attend relevant training or briefings to support your role and the safety of others.

Ask for help or guidance when unsure—no question is too small.
Health & Safety

Follow the club’s health and safety guidelines at all times.

Take responsibility for your own safety and look out for others.
-
Report any accidents, near misses, or hazards to a club official as soon as possible.
Public Representation

Use social media responsibly when representing the club or its activities.
-
Never post negative or offensive content about players, volunteers, or the club.

Remember that as a volunteer, you are an ambassador for the club—on and off the pitch.

Never communicate or behave in a way that could be deemed as damaging a fellow volunteer or the clubs reputation.
