My kids joined the Puma Cubs, so I thought I'd try and get back into it so I didn't get jealous.
The club has delivered more than what I had hoped, especially in the senior side where I have made great friends and life long brothers.

Rugby is more than just a sport to me — it’s a way of life that’s shaped who I am, both on and off the field. I love rugby because it demands total commitment. It’s a game where strength, skill, and strategy come together. But what truly sets it apart is the respect and camaraderie it fosters.
On the field, I’ve learned what it means to dig deep — to push through fatigue, take hits and keep going, not for myself but for my team. Off the field I’ve built friendships that feel more like family. Rugby has taught me discipline, resilience and how to handle both victory and defeat with humility.
What I value most is the culture of respect that runs through the game — for team mates, opponents, and the referee. It’s rare in sport to find such intensity matched with such integrity and it’s that balance that keeps me coming back.
This great game has taught me that character matters as much as talent. Whether I’m training, playing or supporting others, I carry those values with me. That’s why I love rugby — not just for what it is, but for who it helps me become.

The reason I love rugby is because it’s the closest thing to me after leaving the army that has the camaraderie and to work hard as a team to no that all of my team mates have my back.
I love the Puma family, because no matter what problems I face on and off the pitch, I know that I can send a message and one of my brothers will be there no matter what the situation.
I served for 10 years in the armed forces before being medically discharged and have suffered from complex PTSD. The Puma community have taken me in and shown me that I am not alone and that they are there for me on and off the pitch I love playing rugby it gives me a sense of purpose for carrying on and that it’s ok to let people into your life I wouldn’t have it any other way.
